Akatea Villa Akatea Villa opened in April 2010 and is self-contained accommodation nestled in rural farmland, sharing 4 hectares with the hosts home, on the northern Hamilton city boundary, Waikato, New Zealand. The villa is comprises: two large bedrooms; catering for two super king, or one super king and two singles, or 4 singles; two bathrooms, one with toilet and vanity, one with spa bath, shower and vanity and an open plan living area, containing a studio kitchen that can be closed away, a large dining area with a full sized table and a lounge area with french doors that open out to beautiful rural views to the north and north west. There are uninterrupted views of the Hakarimata ranges from Taupiri Mountain around to Pirongia from the property, a very picturesque view over Hamilton city and the Fonterra dairy factory settled in the green pasture land. · 2 king beds or 1 king and 2 singles or 4 singles· Quality linens and towels· Air conditioning· Television, DVD & Radio· Studio kitchen: microwave, refrigerator, dish-draw, fry pan, toaster, kettle· 2 bathrooms, spa bath, shower, toilet, full vanities· Laundry: tub, washing machine, iron, ironing board,· Cell phone coverage· Outdoor furniture.

In the areaAkatea villa is well situated for a number of activities either in Hamilton city or the surrounding rural area. The wedding venues of Woodlands historic homestead and Willow Glen gardens are just 10 minutes away. In the same direction you can also visit the beautiful Oolong tea gardens, the only one if its kind in New Zealand.If you are a business executive we are very conveniently situated for Fonterra on Te Rapa straight, state highway 1, and Innovation park which is very close to the University of Waikato. Amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets and hair dressers are a 5 minute drive away at Rototuna. A few more minutes from Rototuna takes you to Westfield Chartwell shopping centre, Hamilton Golf range on Borman road or mini putt at Callum Brae. Hamilton city centre is approximately 15 minutes south and hosts the V8s. There is a vibrant café culture in Hamilton south. Close to this are the museum and arts post galleries.A little further south are the beautiful Hamilton gardens that host various art exhibitions and garden shows. Only 30 minutes away is Mystery creek events center that hosts the field days. The Hamilton airport is also situated near mystery creek. Akatea villa is situated under two hours to Auckland airport, Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupo and Raglan.

Payment options are by cash or Direct debit.

If requested breakfast with local produce can be included.

As hosts we enjoy meeting a wide variety of people, if you are travelling from overseas and would like to share a New Zealand meal with us we would enjoy doing this with you by arrangement.
